In 2001, I'm on top of the world.
I'm one of the owners of a fast-growing Swedish dot.com company — with nearly 400 employees across 10 countries.
I'm flying all over the world and I live in the Netherlands, where I’m starting up our Dutch office.
I'm heavily invested in this company - with sooo much passion, time, energy, and money.
The Change
During a ski holiday in the French Alps, I get a phone call: Our company has suspended our payments.
I sit on a ski lift in the sun, and tears flow down my cheeks behind my sunglasses.
A few weeks later, our CEO files for bankruptcy.
I lose my job, my home, and my financial investment. I feel devastated—and deeply disappointed in myself and our leadership team.
Going from a total dream job to no job at all...
